about
I wrote this song, without the intent of it ever being an SD track. I wrote at the beginning of a difficult time in my life. I felt it was to much of a downer, and not politically charged enough to be a Downgrade song like the rest, until Craig and Andrew welcomed the idea, stating we should write about whatever we feel, whenever we feel. That's what makes it a Downgrade song.
I thank them for that push, when I wasn't ready to bare my feelings in a way like this through our music.
Life is hard, guys. We might not love it all the time, we may even hate it, but if we stick together, we will get through it together.
-Zach
lyrics
This is not a cry for help, (HA HA HA!)
Every day is just constant pain.
What is this all about? (HA HA HA!)
If I stay, what will I gain?
This life ain't good enough for me.
When will I meet serenity?
Sweet sweet serenity.
Sweet sweet serenity.
I heard you screaming out.
Left a note on the window pane.
What was that all about?
Stick around, 'cause I feel the same.
This life ain't good enough for me.
What will I meet serenity?
Sweet sweet serenity.
Sweet sweet serenity.
